Sky Brown is a child prodigy who turned 13 before Tokyo Olympics 2020’s opening ceremony. She is known as the British-Japanese surfer and skateboarder. In this section, we are going to focus on her personal life because a lot of fans want to know more about her!

Born in Miyazaki, Japan, her birthday is on the 7th of July 2008. This talented girl has mixed parents. She has a Japanese mother, Miko Brown, whereas her dad is Stuart Brown, who is British in origin.

Before moving to Japan, Sky’s dad used to live in the United States of America. Although Sky lives in Miyazaki, she also spends half of her time in the States. And we’re not talking about Olympic skating.

She Began Skateboarding When She Was Three Years Old

Can you believe that in 2016, Sky Brown took part in the Vans US Open (a skateboarding event) at the age of 8? Even though she got a lot of attention as the youngest person to compete in the event, she fell off the board due to the overwhelming atmosphere. This was the year when she became known to the world as a pro skater. 

Then in 2017, she continued her career as a skater and snatched the 2nd position in the Asian Continental Finals. Moreover, she championed the 2018 Vans Park Series by claiming the top 10 spots! And she was only 10 years old when this happened!

She also took part in the famous US TV show Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, and won the award as dancing stars! The surprises don’t even stop here. 

This young lady also won the Simple Session event in Estonia in February 2019. Then the same year in March, she expressed her interest to participate in the British Skateboarding Association, which led her to win the 3rd position in the World Skateboarding Championship. 

That is when she also received a lot of praise as the first female pro skater to land a frontside 540 at the X Games! However, she claimed the 5th position at the X Games skateboarding event, and took the bronze medal in the 2020 Park World Skateboarding Championships in Brazil

If you think these years were her glorified year, then wait till you hear about what she does next. She took part in the 2020 Summer Olympics in the British Olympian team. 

However, there was a setback before all these happened. There was an accident during one of her practice sessions, and she ended up with a broken left wrist. Moreover, she was unresponsive when she got to the hospital as skull fractures were involved.
